tma/svetlo/tma
by Jan Svankmajer (YouTube), a surreal claymation video from the Czech master. (NSFW if your boss will have problems with clay genitals).
The Periwig-Maker, a story about a wig maker and a little girl in a plague-ridden London.
In Grey Matter, a man creates a strange replica of himself, which takes on life.
And just for fun, a rhino dancing flamenco.
All totally brilliant. I couldn't watch the Periwig-Maker to the end, cos I'm a softie and found it heart-wrenching and got all weepy. Fantastic though.
And the rhino rocks.
hooray for Jan! Thanks Christophine, this claymation stuff is pretty slick! hah, slick, geddit? wet clay? aww nevermind...
That rhino is wunnerful.
I love Svankmajer. Alice is quite a trip. Thanks.
Execllent post. Cheers
I watched The Periwig Maker to the end. It was very sad. Also, Kenneth Branagh's voicework is excellent.
Just received "The Ossuary" and other shorts in my netflix incoming today. Looking forward to it.
Another stellar post.
Thanks, Christophine.
And no, the Periwig Maker didn't have me choked up at all...
