While I was reading those I had Miles & Coltrane playing Autumn Leaves on the stereo.
It was perfect.
Beautiful. And frankly, it works better than I'd've imagined.
Surprisingly, this functioned as a reminder that childhood isn't a stroll in the garden even though many adults would like to remember it that way. Even for Schultz's iconic characters.
