Sound Numbers

Now that's abtruse. I'll keep it in mind the next time I need to memorize the decimal expansion of e to 1,000 places.
The history of these encoding schemes, as described here, is interesting.
I think he's got it all backwards, however. Rather than come up with ways to map numbers to mnemonic words, we should be Gödelizing ambiguous words, sentences, and paragraphs to precise numbers. 214347385632974205730668830638605212843711502956637583574669288721454280 Right?
