Blue Wizard Is About To Die. The first collection of poetry about video games ever published, Blue Wizard Is About To Die takes its readers on a psychotic and hilarious tour through the arcade and console games of the Eighties (and beyond).

Three poems are available on line: Mario in Exile, Joust, and Dragon's Lair.

There's a nice page of game related trivia on the site, too.

Personally, i always hated the talking games. "Blue wizard is about to die." your cue, of course to pump another quarter in. still know exactly what that voice sounds like.

"Elf needs food badly."

Like many very silly things, the synopses are better than the poetry.

Half-Life - A touching ode to Gordon Freeman’s crowbar.
Midway - 12 year is forced to fight to the death during the Battle of Midway
Oregon Trail - Poem about vicious 8 year old tyrant who enjoys watching the members of his party die.
Pac Man - Rememberance of the omnipresent and unstoppable horror one felt while being hunted by immortal ghosts.

Read these with Arcade Ambience in the background.
