  • Agreed. I met some of the greatest deserters from Vietnam. Send us your amiable, benevolent and compassionate. It would be nicer if we could do exchanges instead of returns.

  • I was about to get mad at my Canadian friends, but I read "Snyder was released after a Canadian immigration official contacted the local police and informed them there was no basis for Snyder's detention" looks like someone got pressured by the army, but the immigration office ordered him released.... good for them...!
  • I imagine that it would have been a much different arrangement, petebest. When I was younger, I knew I would head to Canada if I got drafted. Luckily, taking Noriega out of his home did not require a draft.
