National Monkey Gorilla Suit Day
A damned dirty rip-off from that other place

*ding dong*

Ooh! ooh! oooh!

*scratch, ponder*

Quod vide

Double comments!

I had papaya and some octopus leftovers for breakfast.
Mmmmm-yeah.

Cheese-filled tortellini with a refreshingly lite mushroom sauce, roasted peppers...

Lunch today was squash soup and jambalaya...both homemade and ass-kickingly delicious.

Spiced Gouda sammich and Montreal Smoked Turkey sammich -- the smoked turkey is disappointing. Not a regular purchase, and won't ever be.

I think I'm going to get a cookie from the vending machine.

I have a box of Smarties that I'm about to open up. Real Smarties, not those fake, chalky ones Koko prefers because of her stupid American DNA.

*nibbles on pumpkin Kit Kat*

You mean imitation M&M's? Hey, whatever floats your canoe.

Oh, it's floated, baby.

Fresh rye flour smells faintly of chocolate when it's first hydrated. Yum.

*steals gomi's kit-kat*

But...this could have been a new post...

(Toast with Marmite. I am so boring.)

I don't think this is a double-post, as it is celebrating the 2007 celebration. Can we not do Christmas gift exchanges more than once? Can we not talk about each year's Oscars or New Year's Resolutions?

As such, I am prepared to treat this non-double-post with the thoughtfulness and consideration that I show all non-double-posts.

oatmeal again.

I got the cookie. There was a moment of cold panic when it got stuck on the way down, but then it fell the rest of the way. All is well. I ate half of it, and am saving the other half for later. I put it in my desk drawer. There's a salt & pepper shaker in there too. It's funny; I hardly ever use that salt & pepper shaker, but I keep refilling it because other people keep borrowing it! They're like, "Hey koko (except they don't call me 'koko' at work; they call me by my work username, which is baybEE_grrl67), do you still have that salt & pepper shaker?" Like I'd ever let go of that! It's a 2-in-1 dealie, with the salt on one side and the pepper on the other, and little flip-tops for each side. So cute! Even though I haven't brought a hard boiled egg for lunch for months and months and months, I still keep it around because you just never know. I mean, someone might bring me french fries! Plus, before I had my salt & pepper shaker, I never had any visitors. Now it's like Grand Central Station in here! I think that guy from welding just uses it as an excuse to talk to me. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but pepper doesn't really go with coffee. But maybe that's a Filipino thing? Do you think he likes me?

This is just an incredible coincidence, but my username at work is also baybEE_grrl67. Wow.

Trader Joe's bitchin' tomato soup with peas and corn added.

Hella good.

Ham salad.

I'd make a mess at the table with Koko's duo-shaker, just know it.

Fighting the urge to gobble some 70% chocolate.
Damned chocolate monkey on my back.

Brown bread toast and bramble jelly again.

I just had some oatmeal with cinnamon and raisins. Later I might have some couscous with pesto and feta cheese. (that's unless anyone offers me some homemade jambalaya, dammit.)

Quinoa muesli with extra dried fruits for breakfast. Lunch is looking unlikely due to meetings.

Toasted bread with mozzarella and anchovies. Mmm-mmm.

OK, so for last night's cooking endeavour I made black bean & jalapeno soup, and packed it up for today's lunch but forgot to bring it. I had a small taste as it was cooking and it was pretty damn good (not as good as the previous day's curry squash soup but that was a tough act to follow).

I got a rock.

Paper. Good old paper, nothing beats... uh, DUH!

Kit, what exactly is bramble jelly? It sounds, uh, painful...

Silly kit. Blackberry jelly!

I'm a bramblin' man
Bramblin' round . . .

I haven't had sugar in nearly 4 weeks.

Neither has Louie! Hey, have you two met?

Don't cry for me...
