Musicplasma: The music visual search engine.
Enter a favorite band and see related bands. I scoffed at first, but it's actually quite nifty. (Flash)

Do the White Stripes come up every single time or what?
aside from that, though, [this is cool]
Reminds me of a cartoon I saw a long time ago of a complicated chart proving Cokie Roberts is at the center of the universe.
Very cool stuff. Although it claims Norah Jones is El Vez's closest and only relation. GAAAAAHHH!! Sacrilege!
Very good. [Banana]
This is one of the few good uses of Flash on the web. I am quite impressed.

Um?
Pretty! - and useful, too: given my Alanis phobia, this site helped me avoid others of her vile ilk.
Pretty good. Although I put in At The Drive In and it only had them and one other band on there. And they were miles away. Which was odd.

"This sample is not available due to licensing restrictions." [Beastie Boys]
Minor quibble — I'd prefer albums to be dated by original release date. That is, in my universe and in many others, Kind of Blue was not released in 2001.
That said, surprisingly good.
HA! Six bands in a row its never heard of! I am an indie-rock quasi-god, send me your daughters so that I might ravage them!
