White Moose must die? There's a white moose on the loose in Norway. If you want a nice trophy for above the fireplace, lighten up the place a bit, better get going, 'cuz you can't do it here no more.

When I read this on BoingBoing I wondered why they just didn't capture it, neuter it, and release it.
The original photo in that link looks suspiciously like the old photos of Bigfoot, with the animal looking back over it's shoulder.

Their logic is kinda like "we have to cut down the forest because otherwise it might get destroyed by fire". If the gene is that much of a threat, then the problem will take care of itself. If it doesn't, then it's not a problem.
