Does this make you sleepy? For those among the monkeys that like to squee.

...why are yawning bunnies so creepy, when non-yawning bunnies are not creepy at all?

i blame bunnicula.

Holy shit, Bunnicula. I hadn't thought about those books in *years.*

And yes, yawning bunnies are mostly just weird and creepy. Two of my favorite things.

Squee?

That page makes me want to run in horror. Yawning rabbits are creepy rabbits, and creepy rabbits are incredibly scary.

More bleah than squee

Sorry Trac, bunnies are just not my thing.

But I will admit they are soft and quiet and gentle and make nice coats PETS!

Yhis... gosh. That's gonna give me nigthmares.

And who designed this award, Edvard Munch?

It must be pretty bad, cos it's blocked by my work's firewall.

Probably for the best.

More creepy rabbits in this Flickr pool I sometimes submit to.

Creepy? Feh.

I'm not seeing the creepy. I think they're *adorable.* But then, I am a monkey that likes to squee.

"Mr. Grumphus Bumfus Bunn B. Doofus?"

Oh, and BTW, SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I THINK THEY ARE SCREAMING

Birds yawn, too.

That's because they are unbelievable 'seen it all before' cynics. It comes from getting up so early all the time. Never speak to a bird about the wonder of nature.

I have seen Bunny #2 before. I think it was attacking a bunch of knights.

(Really. Look at it. Same rabbit, I swear.)

heehee I was Bunnicula for Halloween in '99

Terror has a new name.

And a puffy lil tail.

Er...eek?

In blackest, Stygian darkness -
The scent of mad despair
Hanging thick in heavy clouds,
Everywhere, everywhere -
Beyond all hope of reason,
There sits a fluffy bunny.
Ah! Cruel, cuddly rodent!
He's eaten all my money.
In the coldest depths of Elsewhere,
Silent as the dead,
In soulless, sleepless Shadow,
Where Hades fears to tread,
In a cavern where the Earth is rent,
Torn open like a gash,
Sits the floppy-eared deceiver
Who's chewed up all my cash.
Oh, the fuzzy, Hell-bound BUNNY,
With my income in his tummy!

Bravo TUM!

Er...eek?

Shhh! ixnay! ixnay!

Oh, ah. . ha! ha ha! . . very good! ah, she merely meant, Your Bashesty, that um, they were Eekquisitely cute! Ha ha! Yes!

*genuflects, retreats*

Whilst taking a break and surfing without a care
I came across some bunnies letting out some air
Some Monkeys think they are creepy
But I just think they are sleepy

Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Shhh! ixnay! ixnay!

Are you speaking the Pig's Latin to me, sir? Why, I never!

Although, you gotta admit it is kinda odd that Chyren didn't catch this, since he posted it mere months ago.

what happens when 'bashi eek!s herself? do we all cease to exist? are we all really as ephemeral as a bunny yawn?

You are all assuming that the Bashi is bound by the same laws as us mortal chimps.

This is heresy. Repent, ye sinners, and avoid the eternal flaming poop!

Preach on Brother Louis! Testify!

*warms up the Hammond B-3*

*puts bunny in collection plate*

Dammit! I searched! I really really did!

Chy is my sockpuppet.

Chy is my warm blankie.

I don't even remember posting that.

There's a lotta times I've posted stuff on here, later I've found it in a search, & I have no recollection of posting it. I mean, it comes back to me, but I don't seem to lay down memories of shit properly, or something. I can't even remember the names of kids were my close friends in school, places I've lived, stuff I wrote a thesis on. There's stuff that's completely disappeared from my memory of when I was travelling around UK & Europe. Sometimes things come back to me from something someone says, & I go 'sheeit, that was hidden back there for some reason.' I'm living in a perpetual moment of now. Gurdjieff would have loved me. Maybe I got brain damage.

MonkeyFilter: I'm living in a perpetual moment of now. ... Maybe I got brain damage?

Fact: If ye don't use a piece of data often, ye may lose access to it after a while.

Also, I think it depends on how ye relate a given experience to other bits of your experience. If ye ask me what year something happened when I was a kid I usually can't tell ye offhand, but I can tell ye what house I was living in or where I was going to school or which relative I visited during the summer and that sort of thing. Often end up counting on my fingers to know when things occurred in conventional time.

Find when I'm preoccupied at the time of dating a check, I'll often end up writing the year as 1956.

Which seems a wee bittie peculiar, since in 1956 I wrote no checks.

But I conclude my mind is given to presentism, since it fails to really grasp any significant distinction between one year and the next.

Yeah, me too.

Sorry not to reply to your email yet, btw, I have this thing, a resentment issue against myself when I tell myself to do something by a deadline. Very bad. It has to do with what I was planning to talk about. The whole thing about the book, etc. I get very resentful of having to address those issues with myself, it's a bad thing I have. I will deliberately not get around to something just to spite myself, almost. Probably why I haven't finished anything ... which also has to do with living in a perpetual 'now'. If you're like that, you never feel any urgency to finish something. Really quite bad, but then again I have little stress.

I have more stress
than I care to express

No sweat. If and when ye feel an urge to write, ye know where I am.

Deadlines are a huge annoyance to me; I seem to be one of these idiots who prepares everything ahead of time and then fumes and snarls and behaves like a twit when the inevitable changes have to be made or circumstances render all plans useless.

All part of my desire (Do ye want, Grasshopper?) to feel in control of something. somewhere. Somehwen.

Wot fools we mortals bee.

Finishing anything is always the hardest part of it.

Witness the scores of household projects I've begun in earnest. Some even with headway made.

Can't tell you who was the first kiss, but I remember that Paul backed into some reporters who were following a bit too close after John was shot. He was a bit nervous I suppose.

Also that bizarre slapback-delay effect on the vocals in "Do It Again" from Steely Dan is perfectly timed to be fucked up.

Also, if you could send me a couple of good cigars, I'd appreciate it. Wrap them up to look like toothpaste or something, or they'll stop them at the front desk.

That is one of my favs, Chy.

Re: the Bunnies. I thought they were screaming. I now know better.

As I open a picture, the bunny opens its mouth and starts singing a note: "Laaaaaaaaa..."
When I close the picture, the note continues. Then when I open the next picture, the new bunny sings another note, in harmony with the first. And on and on, until all 75 bunnies are singing their notes in harmony. The singing continues when I turn the computer off.

Yeah, I recommend 5ml risperidone & 10ml clozapine daily for the la la bunnies shiznit. Ironic that you're called 'muteboy', tho', aint it?

What, no love for the Kane? Tough room!

muteboy, that happy image has stayed with me all day long. Thank you!

*turns computer off*

*bunnies keep singing*

*hides in bathroom*

Chy, if I had a pound for every time someone had remarked on the irony of my username, I'd have four pounds. See profile for the desperately dull real story!

Hmmm.

"What, no love for the Kane?"

Saw it a couple of times. I don't remember any lines from it. Director's style too bombastic for me. The one I dig is Touch of Evil. Everyone says it is a B-grade, not me, it's great. Except for Heston, but you can't have everything.

"What are you doing there in the dark?" --Vargas

Saw Touch of Evil recently for the second time ... not sure I like it better than Kane, though it is great. Welles' performance is unforgettable, to say the least. >shudder<

Me, I figure if something is worth doing once, it's worth doing over and over and over, just like a Turkmenbashi thread.

;]

bees, you're so subversive :D

I figure we're in an already-Eeked thread, why not?

Find when I'm preoccupied at the time of checking a date, dating a check, I'll often end up writing the year, yiking the weir, as 1956.

Which seems a wee bittie peculiar, since in 1956 I choked no X.
