The Kriegsmann Files
  • All those dreams of stardom, all that hair and polyester. Very evocative photographs.
  • )))
  • Nice one, Argh - thanks. There must be a lot of similarly interesting slideshows on flickr awaiting discovery, methinks!
  • Those are excellent. Great story. And that big beautiful Gretch guitar in that one - schweeeet!
  • Menda City Why, Polly! -- Esther! -- you haven't changed a bit!
  • WOW! What history. I'm so glad someone's preserving these. Thank for the great link, islander! And I'm so very glad that I'll probably never have to see "Michaels and Scott" in performance. Until that first "Unknown Band" picture, I'd never seen an Asian man with a 'fro. Geraldine Vega looks like the J-Lo of her time. I'll call her G-Ve. Is "Unknown Actor Type" code for "Pr0n Star?" What irony that "The Unusuals" are the most generic whitebread stereotypes I've ever seen. How can all three of those guys be "Andy Terra?" Wild coincidence that needed photo documentation? "Joyride" bears an uncanny resemblance to old group shots of my uncles. But they were too interested in actual joyriding to form a band. If there are only two of you in the act, whu bother with a title like "The Mildred Kay Duo?" How bad does the other person have to be to not merit equal billing? Why not "The Mildred Kay Duo, featuring Mildred Kay?"
  • *ahem* This delightful link brought to you by Argh of Argh and the Arghtones, featuring Argh.
  • D'oh!
  • Well, nice first comment, islander.
  • I found these the other day, and have started to colorize some of my favorites in my spare time, just for fun. Here's the only one I've finished so far.
  • Brilliant! *swigs beer*
  • Wow, nice work, Knicky!
  • Ooh, Rondo Hatton an' all!
  • Before he thrilled us as Han Solo or Indiana Jones....
  • Zounds! The boots ... platform souls ... but WHY?
  • Like Zorro?
  • OH C'mon now . . . no way!
