  • Where have you guys been the last eight months? Are you saying you've been on this site for the last eight months? If so, I'll trade you a few repeat posts for your busted watch.
  • I'm saying the panorama has been quite widely linked to for about that long. Not that that precludes posting it here -- it's always great to share with those who haven't seen it... but it surprised me that so many were quite suddenly struck by its novelty.

  • I missed it even after it was posted here - but wow! The darkness of the sky, and thus how thin the air, and how close you are to falling off the world - is frightening.
