I agree with ooga_booga. Bringing up the recent mention on msnbc by way of commenting in your original thread would've worked ok. The comment would have revived the original thread by bringing it up in the sidebar again, and your pet project would've had the second shout-out you thought it deserved without violating the double-post guideline.
