And, jeraboam, I think maybe you're missing something. The temperatures under the smiley-sun icons aren't Fahrenheit / Celsius, they're High and Low temperatures in Fahrenheit.
If you scroll down a little, you'll see that the high temps in Celsius for Kalgoorlie over the next few days are:
-27C
-26C
-31C
Which isn't really all that hot. I think it's going to be hotter than that in Brisbane, over the same days, and I wouldn't have said Brisbane was the record holder in Australian high temperatures.

YM in Celsius. And 27 °C is about 45 degrees Celsius higher than the temperature here. So stop whining.

And then there where those big numbers, so I had this whole 'he's saying this is where the heat is' thing going on... but instead it was like... How kind of you to give up your bed. Couches can be uncomfortable, though. You should do what I do when the in-laws arrive: stay at a hotel with a hooker. I sleep in a comfortable bed, there are less fights at home, and I am four ounces lighter.

I work in a glass-walled office a few yards away from the single set of glass doors to my building. In January. In New York. What chucklehead designed that setup? I've taken to wearing gloves to work and keeping one of them microwave rice heat packs on my lap.

It's been 40f-50f here in Upstate NY, even 60 a couple weeks ago. All of January. I think it may be a sign of the End Times. Usually about 10 below zero here this time of year lately. Sunny today and 45.

I thought I'd felt more energy in my yang yesterday. Not fire so much as a glowing warmth, though. Had the idea it was the chili from Saturday night, but now I find out it was the Fire Dog.
