The Tofu Hut.
An excellent new MP3 weblog. The music is both obscure and excellent.
Music posted here is posted out of love, not with the intention for profit or to violate copyright.
The Church Choir(?) singing "Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme" is especially fantastic. Its absolutely beautiful, and something I'd never have found anywhere else, basically. The work of our very own forksclovetofu: I would never have heard any of this music if not for my father, who turns 57 today. I love you Pops. (And hey, maybe his hit counter will finally be of less interest than his weblog.)
-
I've wishlisted the isicathamiya disc for the next time I go shopping. Tear it up, forky.
-
thanks.
-
I really like forks' hit counter. oh, and the mp3-blog is cool too :)
-
The load time for Forky's hit counter was a bitch. Damn, that stats counter is getting a lot of traffic.
-
I'm gonna post a weekly comment over here letting you know what I've posted over the past 5 days so that any musicfans who keep an eye on the sidebar can rush over to snap up the quality before it goes down. Let me know if this seems to egocentric or monkeyfied. It's been a full week of Prince. If you dig the Purple one, stop by and be pleasantly intrigued.
-
Yes forks, it does seem that way, but I'm not complaining. I've been enjoying the parade de la purple all week.
-
Actually, forks, my friend, your site is the first thing I read every morning. I do love it. Except for the Prince insanity, this week. I try to like him, I really do, but I just don't seem to be able to manage it.
-
It ain't for everyone I guess. Maybe this is a bit too lame for me to do. I'll stop now.
-
*puts up hand* /Prince fan
-
I was praising your weblog, forks, not criticising.
-
I just went and listened to your Prince music - cool.
-
dng: yeah, i know; i just meant that maybe it was lame for me to use this as an ongoing ad for my blog. which it IS and I wasn't gonna let that stop me, but now I think I will.
-
Well, I meant I will for awhile. Listen I don't know if anybody noticed, but it's been a week of monkey posts in honor of monkeyfilter and the final post goes up today. Stop by and try some new tracks.
-
Wow, thanks Forks! This is really cool. superstereobananas
-
Cheers, forksy. That's a fantastic blog.
-
Though I don't visit it daily, you have a great site, forks. Keep it up, monkeys are listening, hey, monkeys are dancing!
-
because I sit at the back of the class, defacing my desk with my compass, I never even knew MP3 blogs existed until I hung around here. BUT I make up for it with my love for not only Tofu Hut, but BFF's and Captain Psyko's. Between the three of them (and some of their recommended friends), I manage to find old favourite and be shocked with what is out there if you only know where to look. They're like personal shoppers for music. And I even end up *buying* some of the stuff.
-
Yay for occasionally buying music and unlimited access to new music! Yay I say!
-
It took long enough.
-
I'm going to post something on Monday that I'm hoping will start a new meme: my complete musicblog list.
-
I should add that getting an FPP on Meta is one of my fondest blogging hopes accomplished. Wheeee!
-
Good one, forky.
-
Well done! Now do something to get yourself on slashdot and see how quickly they can make your server's processor explode.
-
I should add that getting an FPP on Meta is one of my fondest blogging hopes accomplished. Wheeee! Ditto. Although I find it funny that the only MeFite mp3 blogger (as far as I know), is the only major one that wasn't mentioned in that post. (Sean, from Said The Gramophone.)
-
Hey, the stats counter is looking good. Of course it helps to have that MetaFilter link. I got my MetaFilter link here. But I'm still one up with the Wired News link. I have to say that since Forks stats counter can kick my stat counter's ass now. );
-
I made Newsweek! Sorry to be a dick; I'm kinda excited.
-
*blows party tweeters* Hey, it's cool. We're proud of you, forksy.
-
Congratulations. I saw the Newsweek piece while looking for Michael Eisner's quote and thought, hey, that must be forksclovetofu! (I also saw that June 20 date and figured it must've been posted already.)
-
Awesome, forky. We're proud of you, son.
-
Nice one, Forks.
-
Congratulations, forky!
-
Awesome, forky! Good stuff! Maybe something good will come of it? Hope so. *applause*
-
Yay Forks! Hope this leads to something wonderful in the employment department. Congratulations!
-
Holy shit, this is rad. Congrats!!!
-
Wow! Congratulations!
-
Dude!!! That is FANTASTIC!!!! So......how's the rest of your life going? Keeps us updated on job/apartment/stuff so we know that it's going well for you. I hope that this article will open some doors for you........
-
Nice one!
-
Yeah, my psychic sense told me that this would happen, so I got good and drunk for you last weekend. Cheers, forksy. Congratulations.
-
Forks - this is amazing, we're all happy for you.
-
huzzah! way to go! congrats and all that rot!
-
*Expresses happiness at Forksclovetufu's success. Writhes in envy* Seriously though, congratulations.
-
Congratulations, Forker. I just hope this doesn't raise your visibility enough that Matt Groening doesn't go after you for stealing "Tofu Hut". Me, I'm busy getting in trouble with another Simpsons Producer (gratuitous self-link).
-
Hey, wow!
