One of the glories of the monkeyfilter site is that no old thread ever dies. But if ye are a newcomer, ye could be missing many new comments and not know it.
The remedy is to reset your sidebar so that all current new comments in both old and new threads will appear in your sidebar: click onto "profile" in the upper right corner of a MoFi page and alter the Comments to display box so it reads 100,000.
